Our investment priorities for Culture and the Environment:
- high quality and sustainable urban design, architecture and construction;
- public realm investment in town centres;
- a Green Grid delivery plan, building on the Kent Thameside initiative;
- implementation of North Kent’s Cultural Framework and Toolkit;
- development and implementation of a Riverside Strategy – including completing the transformation of the Thames and Medway watersides;
- conserving and enhancing cultural, sporting, countryside and natural assets;
- working to meet the challenge of climate change, including a concerted approach to water and flood management issues, carbon emissions and renewable energy.
